The Group is experiencing significant growth driven by its focus on off-site construction methods (OSM) for delivering turnkey projects, reducing on-site construction time to a minimum.
Role Description
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of site-based construction activities associated with water treatment systems and infrastructure. This role plays a key part in ensuring that site works are executed safely, on time, and in accordance with quality and technical standards. The Site Supervisor will liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and health & safety personnel to coordinate the smooth delivery of works on complex industrial and mission-critical sites.
The hiring process will be conducted in collaboration with Staffpoint Professionals. Initially, you will be employed by Staffpoint (permanent contract). The position involves standard full-time working hours per week. We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and is already located in Finland. The position is based in Helsinki.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring work is carried out in line with the project plan, specifications, and health & safety standards.
- Manage the daily activities of subcontractors and trades to ensure timely progress and high-quality workmanship.
- Act as the main point of contact on site for project coordination, inspections, and issue resolution.
- Conduct regular site inspections and enforce compliance with company and client safety protocols.
- Track site progress and report on productivity, risks, and issues to the Project Manager.
- Review drawings, method statements, and work permits to ensure readiness before work commences.
- Support logistics coordination, including materials delivery, equipment movement, and storage management.
- Assist in QA/QC processes by checking installations against specifications and completing relevant documentation.
- Participate in site meetings and contribute to project tracking tools, reports, and safety documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture through leadership, daily briefings, and toolbox talks.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Trade background or technical qualification in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a construction supervision role, ideally on industrial or utility-scale projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and work fronts on active construction sites.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, sequencing, and method statements.
- Experience working in data centres, pharma, or similar high-compliance environments is a plus.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) – essential for site communication and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
- Good communication, organisation, and leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- To be eligible, at least one year of your work experience must be from the relevant field in Finland.
