Role Description

The Tank Supervisor will oversee the installation, integration, and quality assurance of tanks and related infrastructure associated with the water treatment systems. This role is central to ensuring that tank installations align with project timelines, technical specifications, and safety standards. The Tank Supervisor will coordinate with internal engineering teams, subcontractors, and project managers to deliver critical infrastructure within data centre and industrial environments. Underground and above ground tanks.

The hiring process will be conducted in collaboration with Staffpoint Professionals. Initially, you will be employed by Staffpoint (permanent contract). The position involves standard full-time working hours per week. We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and is already located in Finland. The position is based in Helsinki.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the installation of tanks, including base preparation, structural supports, and service connections.
• Ensure alignment with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project program requirements.
• Oversee subcontractors and vendors responsible for tank delivery, erection, and ancillary equipment installations.
• Monitor all works related to tanks, including insulation, coatings, access systems, and integration with piping and instrumentation.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local legislation, Whitewater standards, and client requirements.
• Perform regular inspections and generate installation checklists, punch lists, and quality documentation.
• Work closely with QA/QC and commissioning teams to verify readiness for mechanical completion and system handover.
• Attend site meetings, report progress, and liaise with project stakeholders to resolve issues proactively.
• Manage onsite logistics for tanks, including cranage, lifting operations, and site storage considerations.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to avoid interface clashes and promote a collaborative site environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Trade background or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in site-based construction roles, preferably with 2+ years in tank or vessel installation supervision.
• Proven track record in industrial or utility-scale projects such as data centres, pharmaceutical plants, or water treatment facilities.
• Strong understanding of mechanical installation methods, rigging/lifting safety, and tank-related QA procedures.
• Familiarity with P&IDs, isometric drawings, and construction schedules.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) – essential for site coordination and documentation.
• Demonstrated commitment to health & safety, quality standards, and construction best practices.
• To be eligible, at least one year of your work experience must be from the relevant field in Finland.
