Työstä turvaa -project empowering companies and professionals
The Työstä turvaa platform has already created over 600 jobs for Ukrainians fleeing the war and other international professionals under temporary protection. Beyond employment, it provides a safe channel for job seekers and a tangible way for workplaces to help Ukrainians, creating a sense of purpose and unity among Finnish employees as well.
The Vision of the Työstä turvaa Platform
Responsibility
No one is left behind — we are here to help. Work can play an important role in recovery and rebuilding one’s life.
For many Ukrainians, being able to work and contribute to their new society is deeply meaningful: “All Ukrainians are facing a new reality. I want to feel like a human being — to contribute to Finnish society rather than just sit on the sidelines.”
Meaningfulness
One of the greatest impacts of the Työstä turvaa initiative can be seen in the change of attitudes among employers. Companies across industries describe inspiring experiences and values-driven actions:
“The situation in Ukraine has affected us all deeply. As a company and as individuals, we wanted to help. Offering jobs to people who fled Ukraine has been an important way for our employees to contribute, it’s been meaningful to support them in everyday life as a workplace community.”
“Not everyone can send aid or donate money, but by helping new Ukrainian colleagues at work, I feel I’m doing my part.”
“I’m so happy to work in a place like this!”
Internationality
Employers see the Työstä turvaa platform as a chance to grow internationally right here in Finland and gain new, much-needed talent: “This is an excellent opportunity for us to evolve as an employer, and we’re just at the beginning of this journey. Everything has gone smoothly , our new Ukrainian colleagues are eager and highly motivated.”
“Work has started well, thanks to the support provided in employees’ native languages and the fantastic attitude and motivation of our new team members.”
“Thank you so much for this opportunity! I feel like part of a big family. We were warmly welcomed into the team, everyone helps.”
More than 100 Finnish companies across multiple industries, retail, hospitality, IT, manufacturing, logistics, and construction, have already participated. Multilingual professionals have found jobs in roles such as facility maintenance, retail shelving, industry, expert positions, software development, analytics, logistics, and restaurants.
These joint efforts are not only helping Ukrainians but also creating new models that open doors for other international talents.
Multiculturalism
Workplaces are becoming increasingly multicultural, a growing asset for many Finnish companies. “We believe it’s our responsibility to offer work to those in need. At the same time, we grow and learn as employers because the workplaces of the future will be even more diverse. It also helps us address labour shortages, especially in the Helsinki region.”
Many applicants are now building new lives as part of Finnish society: “It was important for me to find work in Finland because I truly want to live here. I enjoy my job, I can always rely on the support of my colleagues and supervisors, and I’ve learned so much from this diverse team.”
When we work together on something meaningful, guided by shared values, we make tomorrow better for everyone.
“I am sincerely grateful to the people of Finland — and especially to StaffPoint — for the opportunity to work and live happily under a peaceful sky.”
