Work ability coaching
Work ability management applying the IPS model
Through work ability coaching, we have developed measures to strengthen early support when an employee’s ability to continue working is at risk due to various work ability–related factors. We can also support an employee’s return to work and sustained employment after prolonged absence.
In cooperation with the company’s HR and occupational health services, we build a plan that supports continued career paths, utilizing the “Place and Train” concept based on the IPS employment coaching model. When needed, we make use of various job demand assessments or individual analyses. With proactive measures, it is sometimes even possible to prevent an individual from ending up on disability benefits. We are here to help, support, and explore alternative paths forward when many support options have already been considered. The starting point is always a confidential discussion and assessment of the situation before proceeding.
The goal is a sustainable working-life solution for all parties. We have strong experience in applying the IPS model, for example, in coaching clients in vocational rehabilitation and jobseekers with long working careers. What work ability–related topic would be worth discussing with us today?
Spring House is a pioneer of the IPS approach in Finland
We have piloted and utilized the IPS (Individual Placement and Support) employment coaching model for various client groups since 2020. The model originates from the United States and is based on research and international evidence.
Research evidence and results have been promising across different target groups. We have successfully applied the model in vocational rehabilitation, for example with people with partial work ability, mental health rehabilitees, and chronic pain patients, and we have developed employment-promoting solutions for jobseekers.
