Legal Counsel – Finland

At NG Nordic, we are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our centralized Nordic Legal & Compliance team and support our business units across Finland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently on a broad range of legal matters, collaborate with colleagues across the Nordics, and contribute to an industry that is at the heart of the transition towards a more circular and sustainable economy.

What you’ll do

As Legal Counsel, you will be a trusted legal partner to the business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising Finnish business units on commercial contracting, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements.
• Providing legal guidance on compliance, corporate governance, competition- and environmental law.
• Preparing and developing legal templates and standard agreements.
• Monitoring new legislation and regulatory developments and assessing their impact on the business.
• Identifying legal and commercial risks and helping the business to mitigate them.
• Supporting the coordination of legal matters at a Nordic level when needed.
• Taking an active role in projects and process development.
• Supporting colleagues across the team and sharing your knowledge and expertise.

You have:

• A Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from a Finnish university.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, gained either in-house or at a law firm.
• Strong knowledge and experience of contract law, knowledge of competition law is advantage
• Familiarity with environmental law and public procurement law is an advantage.
• Ability to independently manage complex legal matters and provide clear, business-focused advice.
• Capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and fluency in Finnish and English
